Born and raised in Tehran, Chef Kami brings his authentic knowledge of Middle Eastern cuisine to every carefully curated dish. For the past ten years, Chef Kami has been cooking up creative and delicious dishes in the New York City area. He has worked in a wide variety of restaurants, and is a partner in a private event and catering company known for its high-end cuisine and mixology. He currently serves as the head chef at Habitas, a New York City member’s club in the heart of Manhattan.

"My family has had our meals for dinner several nights so far – we’ve been putting the veggie burgers over a bed of the kale/cabbage mix you gave us, which honestly is just as fulfilling as a bun. And my dad is not a big sweet dessert person, so he said he enjoyed our French apple custard tart even more than traditional apple pie! (Lucky for him, we have more apples and another pie crust... [Smile] )I just wanted to thank you for all the instructions and tips you gave me -- I’ve been going around these past few days telling my family to put down the plastic water bottles and advising them that “maybe it just needs a little salt”. I feel much more confident and knowledgeable as a cook and as someone trying to live healthier, and what’s more, I genuinely had such a fun time! I hope to meet you again sometime!!

"Chef Erika cooked for a retreat I organized. Our communication and planning were straightforward. The menus were delicious and imaginative. No one reached for salt or pepper - every dish was just right and full of flavor. The person worried about the food being too hot was surprised that it was OK for her; the one with digestive problems had no trouble. There were blueberries in the kale salad, there was a cake with plums and ginger, or one with hazelnuts and chocolate. The meal set-up was convenient and everything went smoothly with Erika's way of working! I cannot recommend her highly enough! "
